“I am a woman that has always been cross through art since early childhood, I’ve done art my whole life. Motherhood changed my perspective of social structures—it opened my eyes in a way that I can’t go back. Illustration has been the only way I can provide [for myself] while taking care of my son full time as he still doesn’t go to school…It is a way for me to communicate with other mothers and people in general via social media. I know that my art touches and helps other people, other women, and sometimes can bring awareness towards mother issues. In that way, [making art] is the thing that sometimes keeps me going.”
