Virginia Pinho

Virgínia Pinho is a visual artist, photographer, teacher, and researcher with a Masters in Communication from the Federal University of Ceará – UFC. Pinho develops research on cinema and the representations of the worlds of work, production, and circulation of images, and the relationship between memory and the construction of urban space. “Janete is my mother, she worked as a seamstress from 15 to 58 years old. Before that, since the age of 10, she had been sewing the clothes of her six brothers. Her spinal column was shaped throughout her life, working “in the position of the machine”.”
