Marianne Lépine

Marianne Lépine is a 48-year-old visual artist and a single mother. She is a graduate of Architecture from the University of São Paulo with a Master's Degree in Typo/Graphic design from the London College of Printing (University of the Arts, London, 2002). Lépine worked for over twenty years as a graphic designer and started to paint ten years ago with acrylics on canvas. “My work is figurative, from observation. Although it is not explicitly about motherhood (my main subject is my home, my everyday objects), I believe one can see the love, the dedication, but also the loneliness that is part of a single mother’s life.”
