Shirley Melo

Shirley Melo is a visual artist in training at the Federal University of Sergipe. “I develop my research and experimentation in art, passing through language such as textile and performance art, seeking to investigate the links between lines and manual techniques, contemporary art and female bodies, exploring themes that provoke reflections on gender disparity, identity, body and time relationships. I am a Black woman on the peripheral and a mother of 5 children.”
